Enterprise AI Readiness:
Make the Decision With Evidence
Inforedge helps leaders assess whether an AI use case is ready to deploy safely, productively and sustainably—with a clear pilot decision and practical roadmap.
For business sponsors, CIOs, data leaders and security teams evaluating enterprise AI.
- Prioritize viable use cases
- Expose readiness gaps
- Define a responsible pilot
Example readiness dimensions · no numeric scores or measured results.
A promising idea.
An uncertain path to production.
Too many ideas
AI opportunities lack a common prioritization or business baseline.
Unready foundations
Data quality, permissions and controls are unclear.
Pilots without an owner
Adoption, operating cost and support remain afterthoughts.
What Inforedge helps improve.
Assessment establishes the decision. Pilot delivery is a separate engagement.
Strategy & use-case readiness
Define the workflow, intended users, success criteria and shortlist.
Data & technical readiness
Review data quality, identity/access and integration dependencies.
Security & governance readiness
Identify oversight, policy and control conditions before a pilot.
Adoption, cost & operating model
Assess user readiness, support ownership and cost assumptions for sustainable use.
Specific products, integrations and implementation depend on validated capability, customer entitlements and the agreed engagement scope.
A decision before a deployment.
Frame
Choose a bounded workflow and name its sponsor.
Assess
Gather evidence across business, data, risk and operational dimensions.
Decide
Recommend proceed, proceed with conditions or defer.
Plan
Prioritize remediation and define pilot acceptance.
Senior-led expertise.
Shared delivery accountability.
An optional senior-led team connects process, technical and adoption work, with delivery management and a customer-approved readiness backlog.
A prioritized backlog, decision cadence and risk register keep progress reviewable. Handover and sustainable ownership are part of the agreed plan.
Data · Security · Identity · Adoption · Integration
Composition and capacity are agreed per engagement; no fixed staffing commitment is implied.
One engagement option, with separately scoped stages. Ongoing coverage, responsibilities and exit/handover terms must be agreed before transition.
Concrete outputs.
Matched to the contracted phase.
Readiness findings
Evidence, confidence and unresolved gaps.
Use-case shortlist
Priorities and decision rationale.
Data & permission backlog
Required remediation and owners.
Platform options
Integration and cost assumptions.
Pilot charter
Quality thresholds and human review.
Staged roadmap
Go/no-go conditions and operating ownership.
Bring the right decision owners.
Choose the right assessment path.
Agree the business question, evidence boundary and expected outputs before committing to broader delivery.

What does an AI readiness assessment answer?
Whether a defined use case can proceed to a responsible pilot, what must change first, and who owns those conditions. It assesses strategy, data, identity/access, security, governance, adoption, cost and operating support.
Will we receive a readiness score?
Findings should be evidence-based with explicit dimensions, gaps and confidence. A scoring method may be agreed during scope; this illustrative framework contains no fabricated scores.
Is Copilot readiness included?
It is a named Microsoft-specific assessment path. Scope the actual workload, customer entitlements, data permissions, sharing, cohorts and adoption plan; Copilot products are not interchangeable.
Do we need clean data before starting?
No. The review identifies data-quality and access gaps. Unresolved issues may prevent a useful pilot and should be addressed before deployment.
What evidence and access are needed?
A sponsor, process and data owners, representative or sanitized data, architects, security/privacy participants and license information. Agree inspection boundaries and retention before review.
Does assessment include deployment or guaranteed ROI?
No. Production deployment and remediation require separate scope. Value depends on a customer baseline, quality, cost and human-review effort. Some use cases should be deferred or solved without AI.
